We are  very pleased to be joining HOOFNZ - The Hoofcare Organisation Of New Zealand Inc. - as a partner in their horse/hoof care training program. ESA founding members have enjoyed a longstanding friendship and professional relationship with Jenny Lomas, one of the founders of HOOFNZ, and others in their organisation, and were honored when their foundation and committee members elected to include the ESA classes as part of their program.  Many of the ESA online courses will be required for their students as part of their curriculum.

Much like the ESA in the U.S, HOOFNZ strives to provide the very best training for their students.  They too have a wild horse population, and base their overall approach to horse care on a natural lifestyle.  Our climate, terrain, agricultural and other differences provide for different challenges and sometimes different methodologies in horse management and care, but our core philosophies are the same.  Keep the horse as close to his nature as possible, treat each horse as an individual with unique issues and needs - there is no one formula for care, consider all aspects of his life when assessing his situation - everything is part of a complex whole, and do him no harm.

We look forward to working with HOOFNZ and their students.  For more information on their program visit http://www.hoofnz.org.nz. and for more on the wild horses of New Zealand visit http://www.equinerehab.co.nz/html/kaimanawamain.html and http://kaimanawa.homestead.com/
