EXAMS
________________________________________________________________________
Each online course will have quizzes and an online final exam. You may use any materials at your disposal during an online exam. The student code of conduct requires that you do your own work, but be assured that during your practicums and practical final it will be quite apparent if you have not done so.
At the end of the Student Year and again at the end of the Intern year there will be an online final exam, and a practical and written exam with an instructor.
Exams will be structured to require "critical thinking" rather than rote memorization. This will require that you have digested and understood the materials and how they relate to other facets of the discipline.
For online exams we strongly recommend that you write your answers and essays in a word processing software or on paper so you do not lose them if you have a computer or submission problem. If you use software, you can then cut and paste the text into the online exam form.
We seek to create an open, honest and supportive environment in which to learn, teach and explore in order to further our understanding of the true needs of our domesticated equines. If you do not have a passion and thirst for that knowledge, then this program is not for you.
